👤 Short Biography

Mohammad Arif Hasan is a Professor of Accounting at Dhaka City College, where he has served with distinction since July 1, 2004 — a career spanning more than 22 years dedicated to accounting education. Over the course of his tenure, he has taught a broad range of subjects including Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Tax & VAT, Auditing, and Strategic Cost & Management Accounting, guiding successive generations of students toward academic and professional excellence.

A committed lifelong learner, Mr. Hasan recently qualified as a Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) in August 2025, earning the ICMAB Proficiency Award in recognition of his outstanding performance. He extends his expertise beyond the classroom as a Course Instructor for Management Accounting at ICMAB, and as a trainer delivering programs on Business Communication and Public Speaking Skills for ICMAB students.

Mr. Hasan is also an accomplished author, having written three accounting textbooks — totaling over 2,700 pages — that are widely used at the Honours and Higher Secondary (HSC) levels across Bangladesh. He additionally holds the BCS Education Cadre qualification, further reflecting his strong academic credentials.

Through his sustained contributions to teaching, professional training, and academic authorship, Mohammad Arif Hasan continues to play an integral role in shaping the field of accounting education in Bangladesh.
